Super Bowl LIX Graphic for Frito Lay
TracyLocke and Frito Lay tasked me to create editable signage for their Super Bowl team-up. This one was created in Cinema 4d (3d) using blank bags and cans that I created. This way they could be reskinned for various product flavors. Everything was composited together in 3d to try and get the maximum "realism" I could.
The confetti was created using a particle emitter and was dropped onto the scene using physics and gravity to get as natural of a fall as I could. I used hidden collider objects to keep confetti off of the product as they need to be seen and legible.
Here are some alt views of the 3d scene showing the grass, lighting and the way things were laying.
This is a different view showing the confetti at mid-fall in the animation.
The grass was created using C4d's Hair System, drawing color from a football field texture map.
Here is a sample of the modeled bags in zbrush where I sculpted and fine-tuned the crinkles to avoid readability issues with the package designs.
